Chương trình Chuyên gia Fulbright là chương trình ngắn hạn đưa chuyên gia Hoa Kỳ đến các trường viện của Việt Nam từ 2-6 tuần theo các yêu cầu chuyên môn liên quan. Thông tin chi tiết như sau:

U.S. faculty and professionals are recruited and nominated for short grants from two weeks (minimum) to six weeks (maximum) to do seminars, workshops, or lecturing at Vietnamese institutions. The FSP differs from the U.S. Senior Scholar Program, which brings scholars to Vietnam for one semester or one academic year, in that CIES builds rosters of specialists in a variety of fields through an online application process. Requests for specialists must be sent to the Fulbright Program in Vietnam at least 3 months in advance, at any time during the year. From five to eight awards are granted on an annual basis.

Duration of grants

The Program will award grants ranging from two to six weeks and will make use of serial grants.

Sample Fulbright Specialist activities

Fulbright Specialist activities will be designed to provide U.S. faculty and professionals with opportunities to collaborate with professional counterparts on curriculum and faculty development, institutional planning and a variety of other activities. For example, grantees may:

• Conduct needs assessments, surveys, institutional or programmatic research

• Take part in specialized academic programs and conferences in conjunction with other scheduled activities

• Consult with administrators and instructors of postsecondary institutions on faculty development

• Present lectures at graduate and undergraduate levels

• Participate in or lead seminars or workshops at overseas academic institutions

• Develop and/or assess academic curricula or educational materials

• Conduct teacher-training programs at the tertiary level

Note: Research is not funded via the Fulbright Specialists Program.

Terms of the grant

Grants awarded will include international economy fare travel and per diem plus a $200 per day honorarium. Per diem costs, which are in-country costs for lodging, meals & in-country transportation, will be covered by the Vietnamese host institution.

How to invite a Fulbright Specialist to your institution?

Please fill in the Project Request Form (PDF-202KB) and send it by email to the Fulbright Program in Vietnam. A complete project request must include a working schedule during the proposed period with the Specialist. The request should be sent in at least two months in advance (if the request naming a preferred candidate) or three months in advance (if the request not naming a preferred candidate).
