Climate security is one of the main challenges of 21st century. The subject has been rapidly moving up the political and economic agendas over recent years. Responding to this challenge, the British Council has established Climate Cool, a climate initiative in the East Asia region which aims to build a sustainable network of “emerging leaders” who are committed to taking action in limiting the contribution they and society make to greenhouse gas emissions. As part of our program, a series of workshops have been organised in the region. This time, The Workshop “Climate leaders: release your creative powers - How can art enhance our ability to think and act differently?” will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 12-19 October 2009. And we are looking for young people from 20 – 35 years old who have demonstrable leadership qualities and interest in environmental issues, especially climate change *. If you think you have what it takes to be a climate leader and interested in attending our workshop, please visit our website, download the attached application form and return to Binh.Do@britishcouncil.org.vn before 31 August. Workshop: “Climate leaders: release your creative powers - How can art enhance our ability to think and act differently?” Date: 12 – 19 October 2009 Place: Greenery resort Khao Yai, Thailand. * Note: All costs will be covered by the British Council.
